RECIPE: Authentic Thai Tea

The recipe makes Thai tea from authentic Thai tea leaves. The recipe is made for the use of a whole bag of Cha Thai Tea. 

Ingredients:

1 bag [13 ounces] Cha Thai Tea
2.6 gallons water
56 ounces white sugar

Instructions:

1. Have 2.6 gallons boiling hot water ready in the pot.

2. Put 1 bag of Cha Thai Tea into the pot, then turn off the stove.

3. Let the tea cool down in room temperature for 2 hours.

4. Filter out tea leaves with a fine filter cloth while pouring into another container.

5. Add 56 ounces white sugar to the pot then stir.


For 16-ounce serving size, add 2-ounce half and half cream to 10-ounce Thai Tea and pour over 4-ounce ice.
